So, after the longest hype ever seen for a single, it's finally here It is without doubt the gayest thing I've ever heard. The stomping disco beat is standard gay club 'hands in the air and scream your head off', and the lyrics have already assured it as a gay anthem. I don't hate it, and I'm sure I'll be tapping my foot every time it will be played (ad nauseum, no doubt), but it's a bit disappointing to hear something so ordinary after some of the truly creative stuff she's done over the last 2 years. It's almost a cover of Madonna's 'Express Yourself'. So much so that apparently 'Express Yourself' is trending on Twitter today. Is it supposed to be some kind of tribute to Madge? |
