For Catholics 8th December is the solemnty of the Imaculate conception! This year the feast of celebrated on a Saturday! However I was lucky enough to be able to go to a Vigil mass of the solemnty in Coventry at the church of The Most Holy Sacrament and St Osburga. Also celebrating when the first Roman Catholic church of St Mary and St Laurence was consecrated 8th December 1807 on the site which is now St Osburg's on Hill Street! St Mary's was demolished in 1843 and a bigger church was built in 1845. |

I pray everyone who celebrates the Conception of the BVM will be blessed by Our Lady's intercession and protection. |
