Maybe - but it's all part of the charm :0) I will talk to anyone about anything - meaning of life and universe down to trivia. My curiosity is one of my greatest strengths. Now i'm going to come out and admit that i listen to the Terry Wogan show on Radio 2 in the morning. I have secretly been a fan for a while. He makes me laugh a lot

But recently i've become increasingly annoyed by his attitude to the whole global warming thing. He's obviously not a believer in it, and pokes fun at it relentlessly

Now i was OK with this for quite a while. Wogan pokes fun at everything, that's part of his appeal

But on Global warming he talks about it every day, and every mention of it is to underline his belief that global warming is a ridicolous myth, and it is to ludicrous to even think it might be true. and recently, he has even been selectively (and misleadlingly) quoting from some fairly dubious apperently scientific sources to underline his point

now part of me says its ludicrous to even be bringing this up. this is Wogan, for god's sake, and you hardly expect to go there for serious scientific debate. But yet...people do listen (and for some bizarre reason believe) what they hear on radio and TV, and here is the BBC giving a platform to someone who everyday (and to many millions of people) is relentlessly denigrating something which is becoming more and more accepted scientific fact

I believe there is a role for sceptics to question some of the accepted dogma of global warming. But i'm becoming increasingly convinced that Wogan is taking advantage of his position to push a viewpoint which is scientifically, economically and morally wrong

and if you say, lighten up, he 's only having fun, at one time i'd agree with you. But i'm not so sure any more

i may even have to go back to Chris Moyles.....
