I've ticked at Breakfast time on Christmas day, and after Christmas dinner as I'll open pressies I have in my house before I go to work. The rest I'll open once I get back to Yorkshire to see my parents around 9pm

Christmas Eve, in Black Tie at 7:00, followed by sausage rolls and smoked salmon sandwiches.

Apparently my great grandfather heard the Queen did it that way and insisted upon it. Rather mad really. I hear its a Germanic thing to do.

When i was a kid it all depended on what shift my dad was working and we had to wait for him to get home from work before we could open the main presents. We always had a stocking full of goodies for when we woke up and then it was downstairs for brekkie and chrimbo tv! :D

This year will have to wait until the evening as my old man is not home til 7pm, but me and the other half had our christmas day on saturday. Our shifts are so crap this year that we decided to set a day aside that we both knew we'd have most of the day together :o) It was ace! :D
