A topic from Miscellaneous: Questions With No Other Home

Im sat here at work just thinking can any more crap come my way! Im unsure how Im holding it all together, or even if I am!

Went on holiday, 2 days in get a text from a collegue to say I am being made redundant in April, well i say April, as of yet the company hasnt bothered to confirm anything in writting. The company is in effect closing down.

No idea what to do as I have a high paid job within the industry, and possitions like mine are rare and a lot less paid elsewhere.

Of course the house is based on my salary at present, so im worried about that.

Half way through the same holiday a voice mail comes from a letting agent asking for refferences for my present lodger and his BF. Unknown to me, both are moving out in a week, I had 10 days notice. I wouldnt mind but the original lodger is meant to be a friend, and I agreed to his bf moving in as he was technically homeless after loosing his job. I bent over backwards to accomodate him in a house thats really not big enough for three. If they had given me some indication then I could of made provisions, but to get off the plane and find out they are packing already is a bit much.

I am now frantically advertising the room on varrious websites in the hope that I can get someone asap, otherwise i am going to be in a financial mess pretty quick.

A guy I met turned out to have a BF, strangly forgot to mention the finer details while trying to bed me. (I didnt by the way!)

2008 has been crap from start to finish so far!
