I'm a food-loving, slim, walking, event-organising, low-tax-campaigning, pragmatically academic, internationally working, property investing, troubleshooting coffee-addict seeking friends and contacts. If you have suffered tax injustice that the system cannot solve, I'd like to hear from you.

So, not only does HM Treasury use a tax policy that is significantly counter-productive, it also plots deliberately to present a false image of its position. It looks set to use the "oops-we've-just-not-got-enough-time" excuse to adopt International Accounting Standards (which would end the "off-balance-sheet debt" that PFI is).

"The Ministry of Defence, which has had a string of accounting issues, and the Department of Health both said they could not meet the deadline ..."

A string of accounting issues? I'd say. How do you account for two wars without future expected benefit? Or an NHS whose administration costs have soared without any increase in productivity to require such incremental admin costs?

Ooooh, nasty little facts to present the public. Especially alongside related party disclosures.
