There's a GHOST in my attic and it's happily walking around, back and forth as ghosts do and trying to get my attention as I type these very words.

Really! I can hear footsteps right above me and the ceiling is slightly moving and making that creaky woodeny sound as ghostie walks up and down!!

I have the attic hatch open as it's supposed to keep the flat cooler when it's hot as the excess heat rises upwards and out of the roof.

This is really bizarre! :-) I know there's nobody in my attic as I've been in all day - and there's no way someone could get access to it from next door but it does actually sound like a real person or ghostie walking around up there. Wow!

I'm assuming that because it's now quite cold outside and it's been a very hot sunny day, the roof trusses and joists and roof tiles must be contracting and that's what is causing the phenomena of the ghostie walking

I think I may go up the attic ladder withmy torch and see what I can see!

Or, maybe I'll just get under the duvet and hide till daybreak!

It could be the wood creaking as the temperature changes! sometimes pipes make funny noises too.
