Dohh PC system crash what do I do now

Well PC tower deceide to crash other day,
been trying to get it sorted

End up with recovery XP disk, reloaded on to Main C drive
got that back half working

it refused to work/boot from the C drive unless the Recovery CD Disk was in as well
otherwise it insited it was not a System drive.

reloaded the software on the main drive (resigned to the fact Ive lost all the files, as had a backup on the slave drive)

got the Main Slave drive back to normal NFTS (had Norton Go back loaded) so that can be read,
then after last XP load had power flicker, while the Main drive was formatting (i think)

Now it will not boot from the recovery CD Disk saying NTLDR missing
[prese Ctrl +Alt+Del to restart

My Seagate Disk drive can see both drive
tho now its saying the Slave drive is corrupted
so maybe Ive lost all my files now.

What is a boy to do ?

got access to the Internet via my Laptop
but that not a Floopy drive to download files
the CD drive is just that not a CD burner..,
so not how I could download other files
However if anyone cna advise me where I can, I'll find a way.

Help
what can I do, what should I do
Normally have always been able to get myself out of these problems

So current set up I think is
main drive totaly blank formated No DOS or XP files

Recovery Dish wont boot PC into XP saying NTLDR is missing
(not sure where ot is missing from)
and my slave drive corupted (mayeb I can save some of the files after i get XP back loaded)

Do I just have to get a new XP operating System >? from PC world or get WIN3 or 95 loaded and then upgrade via the recvoery disk (not sure if I know anyone with win3 or win 95)

any pointers would be usefull

and if you got these disk and can help me directly <Smile>
