I work for a well known charity doing medical loan and just had a lady call:

Caller: Hello, my husband recently died and has alot of left over medication including alot of morphine, and wondered if you could make use of it with your clients?

Me: Sorry wonders if its a prank call

Caller: Well he died and we have medication including alot of morphine and diazapam, can you make use of it?

Me: No im sorry we can't best thing to do is return them to a pharmacy for safe disposal.

Caller: Oh....whys that?

Me: Well from a legal point of view the police would consider that as supply of a controlled substance, and could result in a prison term

Caller: Oh I thought I could maybe give them to you? How about giving them to my friend who gets back ache?

Me: No you really need to return them to a pharmancy, it is considered illegal and could be potentially quite dangerous.

Caller: Oh I see, well thank you for your help
