I think a great majority of them are just out to cause havoc, mayhem and steal whatever they can. I don't think the causes are any more than a bunch of feral bored youths who don't really give a shit (or have a thought) about the consequences. |

Thing is, it seems no one can or wants to look beyond the looting andso just blame it all on that, its certainly an easy way for the Goverment to blame something else. Like the riots in the 80's, outrage can be easily directed in the right way and then it stops the real analysis from happening. |

There will no doubt be a lot of talk in the following days and weeks about the factors that contributed to these events. However, one of the conclusions has to be that a small element of our population make a deliberate choice to disconnect from society because criminal activity is easier than earning a living in a honest way. |
