Woke up late - missed flight, 2 week Holiday GONE!

I was booked onto a two week Holiday to Lanzarote for which I paid just over £1200 and was really looking forward to it. I'd been paying about £150 a month to the Travel Agents and it was finally paid about 6 weeks ago.

I had bought brand new clothes and suitcases to go on holiday with - even new sunglasses, a camera with extra rechargeable batteries and loads of GB of memory cards.

And I got up late!

Very LATE! :-(

I was due to be at the airport at 5:15 this morning ready to check in a round 6:30 and then the flight was for 8:35 for the three hour journey to Lanzabloodyrote!

I'm supposed to be in Lanzabloodyrote and here I am stuck in Cheshire, England telling all my fellow OUTers about waking up at 7am instead of the planned 4 am!

The Travel Agents were very nice but said there's nothing they can do as it was me what got up late, I shouldn't have stayed up all night on a Gay Social Networking Site and that next time I should either go the the Airport the previous day and just wait or buy some new alarm clocks and place them all over my flat - not just directly next to the bed!

So, no refund, no flights that I can take tomorrow to catch up on my Holidays - nowt! It's all gone, just because I got up late!

and then I woke up and it was ALL a dream!

BUT...it seemed so real and it's a recurring dream that I keep having - I suppose recurring dreams are like that!

I just hope that this recurring dream doesnt OCCUR in waking life - dream life I can cope with, but if this happened in real life I'd walk to Lanzabloodyrote just to punish myself for being such a wotsit!photo:608041
