I've been acquainting myself with Tori's latest... loving the mix of sounds... at 23 tracks its difficult to get my head around it on a first play, but its got an incredibly rich, varied sound which is way way edgier than the Beekeeper. Its far more than an album with the five characters singing from different perspectives, and their stories unfolding across the web- go to wikipedia to find links to their blogs. Its also got a dark, playful humour... already feels like a return to form after the sporadic, patchy Beekeeper album. |
