I've adored Singin' in the Rain my whole life (from the age of 9, I'm now 36), I love the film, the song and especially Mr. Gene Kelly. He was a great all-rounder. He sang, acted and danced his way through countless big budget musicals culminating in Xanadu where he took to roller skates. A true star and the one actor I'd have loved to have met.

As for Singin in the Rain, the song, I first heard the Mint Royale version when I saw a car commercial featuring a CGI version of Gene Kelly. That is the version they 'should' have used for their current re-release. It is imaginative and creative. I really enjoyed seeing that version. The song, also, means a great deal to me. I've performed it live and my favourite version of that song has to be the version where Paddington Bear is lip-syncing along to it in the short film - Paddington goes to the Movies.

So, why, oh why, has Mint Royale released a different, but dreadful, video version? A young black man, dances in a subway, with CGI boxes and junk. What has that got to do with the title of the song? At no point does anyone, or anything, actually sing or dance in the rain!

Your thoughts.
