It was 9.45am today, Sunday morning. I grabbed a shopping bag and walked out of the house towards the town centre. As I walked, I noticed lots of other people walking slowly and silently in the same direction as me. We walked and no one said anything to anyone else. There was no life in the town centre as the people walked through it and out the other side. Still we all walked silently and as we approached our destination I could hear in the distance the church clock striking. We arrived at our destination just in time to be let in. Morrisons! |
