With the Wii, the Nintendo DS, other online games and puzzles ranking people's fitness and brain activity by revealing their age - is this not continuing the myth that if you're young you're at your peak?

I mean, surely the brain of a 50 year old CAN be better than that of a 20 year old by virtue of it's experience?

Extrapolating from this, are Nintendo and others part of the problem of dismissing peoples value and ability as they get older?

Discuss.

The whole scenario is wrong - if you don't fit into what some American Multinational Conglomorate thinks is 'intelligent', it seems like you're just useless innit....

The invaluable life experience of someone who may be older is a far more worthwhile talent than being able to add up fast or step fast on your wii step thingy!!

I think all the 50 year olds i know wouldn't bother with all this stuff...

In a world where people are living for longer and longer - isn't it about time "society" started valuing older peoples different skills - "they're" obviously going to want these older people to be profitable somehow!!

My mate is a TV presenter and says it's almost impossible to bring your experience and talent to the table as you get older, as TV (and their perceived public) expect young presenters only - and it's a fierce market with youngsters envisaging a career in TV more and more.

We're a funny breed.
