After all, they have caused far more damage to the world than us gayers?

Burning Rome ('allegedly'), sacking Constantinople, the brutality of the crusades and the inquisition to give a few historical examples.

Not to mention the small minded persecution which you still see around today.

Sorry, I should have said: this thread is satirical, so not offensive.

Following in the satirical nature of this thread, why bother with tattooing Christians, brand them instead! ... hang on wasn't that one of the techniques of torture of the inquisition squad?

Is that why they scan the baby at the begining of the Simpsons? Is she the first?

But where will the barcode be placed ?

And how will you scan that part of your anatomy at the checkout ?

Where do you want it placed?.... I guess it will be a case of bend over while I scan your arse...

If it was on the forehead it could be used in conjunction with a retina scan...

That's just silly ! Surely it would need to be on the front somewhere so you could see what you were doing ?

Exactly, thats why I made the suggestion, because i think the whole concept is absurd!

Leads to questions of 'are we free people or slaves to the 'greater good'?'

Daft!

Barcoding someone would be extremely easy to forge - it's a simple matter
of bouncing light off a line of marks. I couldn't think of a less sensible way
for an 'authority' to mark people. You could have a temporary tattoo - you
could just scan someone and then reproduce as many copies as you
wanted. It breaks all the rules for a quality identification mechanism.

it'd be far better and far more effective to simply record our DNA in a
database and take swabs (from a cheek, or sweaty palm etc.) for an instant
DNA check. Very difficult to forge, and certainly difficult in conjunction
with a secondary biometric test such as retinal scan.
