No amount of algebraic analysis can ever uncover the true significance (or otherwise) of X, or XX, or an absence of X, and I've given up trying to understand it."

I admit, I'm kind of in the same boat. I find the inclusion of Xs to be very confusing. If it's someone hot, I'm hoping they want to bum me, but I fear this is often not the case.
