So, it's been a while huh. Many successful weekends at Brownsover Hall in Rugby have happened and they've all been great fun for about 50 guests. I'm now in search of a new venue.

I've found a place that I think is utterly fantastic - the owner is a Michelin Rosetted chef and the accommodation is 3-star (same as Brownsover Hall) and while there are a few glitches as the new owners are independent and fairly new, the food is amazing and the staff are personable and very friendly.

The hotel has only 9 rooms plus 3 river-side lodges, accommodating a maximum of only 28 people, compared to the 60 or so of Brownsover Hall... that'll push the price per ticket up quite high as the regular dinner bed and breakfast rate is about £60-£70 per person per night. That's on top of us having to accommodate the murder weekend crew, having coffees, exclusive use of additional conference rooms and so on.

And the other drama... it's in Sanquhar!

WHERE?!

Sanquhar is in southwest Scotland. From London it's a direct train to Newcastle and then a direct train of about 2.5 hours west to Sanquhar. Or a direct train to Glasgow and then a short hop south to Sanquhar. The place is on a river, there are amazing walks nearby, the scenery is utterly amazing.

So how far would people be prepared to travel? And what's the max you would pay for this awesome weekend in a much SMALLER crowd of maybe 25 OUTers rather than 50. It would be more expensive than past weekends probably, but the hotel is much smaller, totally independent and the owners are awesome, I'm in love with them in fact.

Give me your feedback - Terry may be tempted if you are.
