Why is it called a pair of pants when there is only 1 of them? Shouldn't it be "I bought a pant?" |

Maybe the 'pant' part refers to the hole you put your leg in? |

I think it originates from when pants/trousers were actually made in two parts, with a codpiece for the middle.... don't quote me on it though! :-D |
