photoLife should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - martini in one hand - burger in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "Whooooooo what a ride!"

OK, a few weeks back I gave in to temptation and foolishly bought a Breville "Intelligent" Blender (one of them AWT ones, a VBL011 to be precise).

All worked well the first couple of times, excellent.

This evening, tried popping it some oranges to pulverise - the thing starts pouring its contents out the base.

Turns out there is now a big gap between the blade assembly and the rest of the jug - no sign of anything broken, just a gap.

Now, the instruction book mutters something about being able to dismantle and remantale the blade assembly fromt eh jug, and points me to page 3 which does not say anyuthng on teh topic at all, so I can't try those instructions to see if that can rectify it.

Take it back to the shop - ah, yes, well, I do not have the packing any more. Come on, it worked to start with, and I dunno about you but I sure as hell do not have enough space to keep the packaging for everything I buy!
Naturally, guess where the receipt was...

So I'm stuck with a Breville Blender that is more of a sieve - any thoughts given I cannot take it back?
I have emailed the company themselves, but, well, who knows whether their customer "service" department will do anything, which is why I'm turning to the collective wisdom of OUT...
