photoPeople don't believe me that I'm shy face-2-face, despite being cheeky on Forums. Orginally from the West Country, but been living in Reading for 16 years. I tend to be a bit of a workaholic, but I've learnt my lesson and getting out more and relaxing, thanks to good friends. I am into the arts & crafts, doing & seeing, including theatre, cinema, etc. Joined OUT for both Gay Male & Female friends.

I have today finished reading ' CALLING THE RAINBOW NATION HOME - A story of Acceptance and Affirmation' by E.T Sundry.
Have any other OUTers read it? What did you think of it?

I found it a bit slow to really take off, it was like a small pebble rocking down a hill, and as it rolled it picked up more speed and energy. By the end of it, I was sad that it had finished as I was gaining alot from it, it certainly tackles alot of issues around religion and sexuality. The author starts of talking about her life, how she became a Christian and then how she struggled with her faith and recognising that she was gay and how she wrestled with being a Christian Lesbian. She tackles the main 'Clobber' Bible passages, in one of the best ways I have seen them explained and clarified.

This is the first book I have seen and read that looks at being a Lesbian and a Christian, all previous books I have read are from the male perspective. I feel that this book would be helpful and informative to both male and female readers, gay, lesbian or hetrosexual.

I welcome other people's comments on this book.
