photoAfter 15 years in London, the cheeky Northerner has legged it to Hastings on the South coast to begin a whole new adventure. Even managed to persuade the partner to come along for the ride. Often back in London for the odd day or evening out but prefer the ice cream at the seaside. Hoping to meet up with similar chilled out blokes who do not take themselves too seriously, attitude free and are interested

Folks

Am looking at having an ADT home alarm system fitted

In the literature it says they recommend a second line just for the alarm if you have your main line used as a broadband line

Anyone have ADT system fitted and keep just one line ?

Cheers

Hey Neil

We are wanting to connect up our weekend home so need a service that would call a key holder if the alarm was triggered. This is why we like the idea of the ADT monitoring system

Did not know you could even get ADT that is not monitored. As we have just got the place and do not know the neighbours. It is also 70 miles away so need some sort of monitoring service as the nearest friend lives a mile away from the property

Have you tried contacting a LETTING agency that might be close by?

They may well charge a fee, but for the peace of mind...

Failing that, is it far away from Hull?
I will look after it for you! :) :) :)

Hey

Ive lived in two houses now, both with a monitored ADT alarm, and both with broadband.

Works fine with no problems, you need to ensure you let them know prior to the install though - they install a filter inside the alarm box - without that youll have problems!

If you wanna know anything else - just ask :) (My Ex worked for ADT)

Hey Neil

The house is on the South Coast so not far from Hull if you pedal fast. A friend lives in the same area and can get there within the 20 minute keyholder rule

Gary, that's what I was looking for. We will have broadband there but thought it seemed a bit of a waste having a second line just for the alarm
