photoWhat would have happened if Cleo Roccas and Kenney Everett had a baby together? What would happen if that child had been raised by Beryl Reid and Liberace? What if they'd weened that child on an audiovisual diet of 80's horror movies and 60's girl pop? What if Tura Satana had appeared to the child in a dream and told him to go out and conquer the world?

So right, like, it's nearly 2008 and all so I've been thinking about new things to do with the new year.

Many moons ago a friend of mine showed me some letters that I wrote to her when we were first at University - she always tried to encourage me to do more writing. Now me being me I've always laughed off the idea being of the mind that there are enough frustrated amateur writers in the world.

But in the spirit of the new year, and following her suggestion, I'm thinking of starting one of those blog things - you know like all those hip Net-teens do.

Does anybody else blog? (stupid question knowing what crushing nerds most of you are)

What makes a good one?

I was told to start an online blog.

I'm not convinced about having it all out there for anyone to see.

I would consider doing it anonymously.

Plus... I'd kinda feel pressured to keep a standard...

i thought about it

then realised that i had nothing to say, so decided against it

I know. I was thinking about that myself. What if it kinda became like a job?

I wouldn't use it as a diary - I think I'd take a Samuel Peypes approach and just comment on stuff 'n' shit.

I blog but it is not really to benefit anyone else. I use mine mainly to get things off my chest. http://www.outmedia.co.uk/blog/ gives you an idea of how not to write for other people!

The best ones I have read are probably a load of bull shite!
