"These are photos of German soldiers and French people going about their everyday business that were taken by Andre Zucca in Paris during the occupation of France. Apparently, they photographer started a bit of a controversy because the people appeared to be too happy. It was later revealed that the photos were taken for the German propaganda magazine Signal. "Showing Paris as a fun loving big city full of happy people was what the Nazi's wanted."" |
