So here's a candid thread for a Friday night in.

I've found that my attitude to sex has changed remarkably in just a few years.

Right up until my early-twenties (*mourns*), I would never want to have sex without some intimacy and a decent level of acquaintance. I guess it was a trust thing, I was very unconfident about myself and my body. I was also of the thinking that sex with someone was likely to lead to partnership. Naive that I was.

Ironically I was slimmer then, but am much more confident with myself now. Though I still prefer some acquaintanceship before I 'dive in', I find that intimacy isn't something I desire any more. Sure, I'd love it with a partner, but that part of me is well fenced off from sensitivity.

The reason I am posting is because everyone else I know did things the other way around. They didn't care about intimacy, rather a straightforward shag. And now they long for companionship and intimacy.

Am I on my own in this thinking? Does this post come across as a self-admitted desire to sleep around? Ah well...
