A topic from Gay Interest: Scene

It would appear that nobody has anything on the calendar of events on here and following a topic on the forums earlier I an offering to extend an invitation to OUTers to informally meet up with me and fellow OUTers in the park during the day as it is always nicer to be at these events with others. Of course it is not always easy to find or identify each other so I will do my best to make sure we do.

I am already organising an informal gathering for the London Male Naturism Meetup Group which I run to meet up (we will be clothed, or at least in shorts!) in the park from 11.00am onwards to see the parade coming into the park, have an area where we can sit ogether and enjoy a picnic and chat and wander off in groups without having to take all our belongings around with us everywhere.

The idea is to at some point during the course of the afternoon to then go down to the beach (weather permitting) to strip off and sunbathe, but that is obviously optional!
This is what I put on the Meetup site:

"No matter if you are gay, straight or anything in between, Brighton Pride is a great day out. There is always a colourful procession and the park is always heaving. This is helped by the fact that they always seem to manage to pick one of the hottest weekends of the year (well maybe not always as 2002 was a quagmire).

It is always nice to "meet up" with others and we can set up camp for picnicing at the back of the park in the lightly wooded area near the brick clock tower. I will have some Meetup signs to help you try and find us! If we are there in number it means that you can leave your things at the base and go wandering off with others to look around without the weight of baggage whilst somebody takes a turn at holding fort.

By the late afternoon if you have had enough of the noise and activity, we can go on down to the naturist beach and watch the sun gradually set, we can then grab a bite to eat and maybe a drink in one of the many bars in town before heading back up the M23 or catching the train back to London."

So the area is in the wooded area at the back of the park near the brick built clock tower. I will have some A4 signs with the Meetup Logo on and also some showing the OUTeverywhere logo, so look out for those and you will have found us. I am also fairly recognisable from my profile photos including the two here from a previous year.photo:307517 photo:603427

I have already more than 20 people coming from Meetup and it would be great to meet up with some OUTers as well. See you in the park.
