A topic from Gay Interest: Scene

#9739Mon 24/03/08 14:54

Just received this email from the organisers of Art Pride, so thought would pass it onto the females of OUT.

Dear all women that identify as QLGB or T,

Do you consider yourself to be creative?

aRTpRIDE invite all women who identify as Queer, Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual or Transgender; to submit art work for the aRTpRIDE08 exhibition. aRTpRIDE08 will be held in exhibition spaces throughout Birmingham City Centre and the 'Gay Village' during May / June 2008, and we warmly invite all forms of creative expression to be involved. This will be aRTpRIDE's 3rd successful year, and we hope it to be our best.

Simply submit your name, contact details (phone number, email / postal address), to artpride@hotmail.co.uk. Together with a description of what you wish to exhibit, and any exhibition needs you may have. For example, is your work in dvd format? is it light activated?! is it all large scale? Or small scale? The work that you wish to exhibit, may not yet be completed. But if you could give us as best an idea of what you intend to produce, then this would assist us greatly. If you have any photos of your work, then this also would assist us greatly.

The deadline for your application is 12 midnight on Sunday 27 April 2008.

We shall inform all persons submitting applications, by Sunday 7 May 2008.

We welcome you to view the work of last year's exhibition (aRTpRIDE07), on our website www.artpride.org.

We welcome applications from individuals that may have not exhibited recently, or who have not exhibited particular pieces of work before.

We look forward to your submissions.

Also, look out for our FREE creative workshops happening around Birmingham Pride time!!!!!!!!!!!

Many thanks
