... i'm sure this kind of post has been submitted a 1000 times before, but I just need to get it out there to get it of my chest and get some unbiased feedback...

So, after spending 10 weeks with a guy that I truly thought was my soul mate blah blah blah... he ended it with the immortal line.. " I do truly love you but I just cant give you what you want..." (How many times have we heard that?)...

What he meant was that, after 10 weeks we still hadnt had any form of intimacy (the three times I did all the work, he just laid there like a mannequin)... I started to naturally question it as it was beginning to affect my own self esteem and worth and has truly damaged my own self image... I should quantify that by saying that I'm afraid i have been a bit of a slag this year before meeting Mr R so it was all a bit of a slap in the face to suddenly find yourself in bed with "Mr Right" and just lyign there holding hands....

So now i've gone back to my mums, in between working away and I suppose this is the crux of the matter at the moment....

I'm feeling totally isolated again - Mr R had embroiled me in every part of his life, his family and friends... I'm now left with work and living with my mum!! I'm feeling sad, lonely, and cant see any happiness ahead of me.. my self esteem is at an all time low - something I've never really suffered with before - I'd like a holiday, but got no-one to go with.. I've rejoined Out in the hope it shows me a way forward - I want to expand my friends and have some new mates for nights out and about... I know I'm not the first person to feel like this and that it will get better - just wanted to know how would you deal with it ???

Thanks for taking the time to read....

First <big hugs> mate...

Just a note of encouragement, people can go on holidays on their own :-)

Until I met my partner, I went on holidays alone and met interesting people and had great holidays. In fact in the past 20 years, I've only had one holiday abroad that was with a friend and 16 or more holidays abroad on my own -- so, go on down the travel agents and get them to find you a last minute deal that has low (or no) single room supplements...

And start going to some OUT events (if there's in your area) and meeting people and maybe making new friends.

Go on your own, after my 2 year relationship broke down I went to Sitges on my own for a week. I had a fantastic time and it really cleared my head.
