I am so sick and tired of people thinking just because I'm married that i'm happy. I've been in a relationship for 51/2 yrs and been married for over a year of that time. People just ASSUME i'm happy and that things are ok with me. Like being married fixes all your problems instantly? I'm afraid to say it doesn't! I am UNHAPPY, i hate my job and my life sucks. Its more like the life of a 44 year old than a 24 yr old. I just wish people would stop being in denial and listen to how i feel for a change.

Anyway sorry to moan, just need it off my chest!

Those who assume that marriage is the solution to their problems will be gravely disappointed, for while it can resolve many issues it can also magnify them.

Oh my god, I dont believe I'm reading this tpoic.. Marriage solves nothing; if you have problems before, fix em before the marriage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

EXACTLY my point. But it's not only that, if you wantto make new friends online and you tell them you are married... then you get treated like its a disease, like you are a leper or something. Why is that?

Marriage solves nothing if you expect marriage alone to be the solution. It can put you in a position where you are better equipped to solve *some* of your problems, however.
