German born and raised Teuto-Australian. Like to chat with people from anywhere. Travel a fair bit mixing business with pleasure. Keeping in touch with friends is important to me. Enjoy learning new things, meeting new people, experiencing foreign cultures. To the detriment of my waistline I like good and interesting food. I am politically aware and interested. My view on life is strongly influenced by humanistic ideals. A dreaming realist.

David Kato, a prominent Ugandan gay activist, was murdered in Uganda on 26th January 2011. It was always questioned – and rejected by police – whether or not this murder was directly anti gay motivated. I would put the chance of it being so at 80% plus, but I don't know 100% |

I sometimes wonder whether people realise how events in seemingly distant places have relevance for us in so-called 'liberal democracies'. |
