That uber-homophobic organisation the Lawyers' Christian Fellowship is going to back a couple in Somerset, who foster children, who have decided to self-martyr themselves by refusing to foster any more kids and have an 11-year-old boy returned to a care home.

The couple have refused to sign a new contract with Somerset Council because of the SORs laws. But quite how SORs really affects the fostering of kids is a mystery and is very unlikely to inpinge on anything to do with fostering.

Naturally along with the LCF, the couple have spouted a great deal of misinformation and complete untruths about the case which the Daily Mail has lapped up unquestionably. Note, they have not reported Somerset Council's version of what really has happened.

Clearly this couple believe it is better to chuck out of their home a vulnerable 11-year-old boy than surrender their suposedly God-given right to be bigots.

The LCF is clearly committed to chipping away at gay rights in the courts by deliberately setting up test cases. (They also backed that magistrate who resigned because he did not want to sit on any case involving gay people)

The LCF is very well financed and can quite easilly outspend anything Stonewall can muster. The LCF of course does get a lot of its money from America.
