I'm having a party on Friday to which I'm inviting mostly gays but also some straights (who may know I'm gay but do not know my gay friends are gay). I know the straight chaps a bit through my role-playing club and we're friendly but not like really good friends or anything.

I added a bit to the end of the message just to say "Just so you know mot of my friends are gay." This was because I just thought it might be easier just to be open from the start. I think the straight chaps are nice but just in case they WERE going to be unpleasant (unlikely I think) better they did not come at all. I wasn't intending to "apologise" for my friends being gay but maybe that's how it came across.

What do you all think? What would you have (not have) done?
