Today there was apparently a protest in London against the Church of Scientology. They were protesting against perceived abuses of the Church, in particular their Tax-exempt status under British Law. They hold deep concern about the death of people in the care of the Church, and what they consider 'pseudo-scientific' medical treatments, and their history of suing and harassing of their critics. They are also concerned about the extent that they attempt to influence the politics of both Canada and the USA. They are also concerned about the conditions endured in SeaOrg, particularly those who take part in the Rehabilitation Project Force. |

And any 'religion' that disguises it's promotional tours as 'free stress test', is cause for concern. Why aren't they more transparent? |

it seems less a church than a pyramid scheme, and one derived by a science fiction writer at that. |
