photoStudent again, professional singer and Madame Arcati all in one, juggling fascinating outer and inner lives, half a team with the lovely John who is a true source of joy. Would love to meet friends to join me (or us) on country walks, Saturday brunches at home and unconventional outings. Humour, tease-ability and depth a must, fear of change a distinct disadvantage. Affirming messages and shameless flattery always welcome.

Here's a bit of fun: it's easy really, but you DO have to read the rules...

Posts are made in groups of four, as follows:

The FIRST word/post in each group of four must rhyme with the fourth word of the preceding group but not share its meaning

The second, third and fourth posts/words in each group need not rhyme with the preceding post but must be as close as possible to it in meaning. (Hence Thesaurus.)

Each post must be followed by a number from 1 to 4 to help the following poster know where they are.

Where the first word of a group of 4 is a verb, all the words in that group must be a verb; and where the first of the group is a noun, all words in that group must be nouns.

Posts can be UP TO three words - it's the meaning of the expression that matters, not the number of syllables. Where post 4 is more than word, the following post 1 need only rhyme with one of them.

Slang and colloquialisms are fine.

Use of a Thesaurus is encouraged. This is not a competition to show how big and exotic your vocabulary is, but a way to play with words for everyone's amusement.

If someone stuffs up, please find somewhere else to tick them off, and not on the thread - otherwise the flow of the game is broken.

For example:

Congratulate 1
Felicitate 2
Cheer 3
Honour 4

Goner 1
Corpse 2
Cadaver 3
Stiff 4

Tiff 1
squabble 2
row 3
bust up 4

rust1
corrode 2
rot away 3
moulder 4

shoulder 1
haul 2
lug 3

etc etc
