Having just come back from Sainsbury's with a bit of a weekly shop I decided to treat myself to some lemon tart.

After eating half the tart, I had a good look at the calorific damage I was doing to myself only to discover that it's supposed to feed 8. EIGHT?!? So in a reverse of the feeding of the multitude I'm able to make a feast disappear.

I also have some "sharer" crisps which are supposed to be divided between the passengers and crew of an Airbus A380.

Really, I think companies should be more realistic with the portions people eat (or is it just me?).

Being of the generation she is, my mother used to weigh out a exact portions of pasta, which are actually rather small.

But I don't think you were too bad, if you imagine the tart was probably designed as part of a 3 course meal, so an eighth would be about all someone could eat as their desert, with cream or ice cream of course, followed by cheese, grapes and biscuits, and then coffee, or brandies in the drawing room
