When I bought my house in January 2006 I paid the solictors bill by bank transfer on the day of completion. Contained all the usual fees and came to quite a few thousand with stamp duty etc. |

I think if they have sent you a bill eighten months late then they have no right to say you have two weeks to pay them. |
