photoIt lies not in our power to love or hate, For will in us is over-rul'd by fate. When two are stript long ere the course begin, We wish that one should lose, the other win; The reason no man knows; let it suffice, What we behold is censur'd by our eyes. Where both deliberate, the love is slight: Who ever lov'd, that lov'd not at first sight.

I was thinking on the way home of films which I like set in London. And I realised that the films I like best are ones where the city backdrop and its people play a leading role.

A few I thought of were.

For London
Alfie
The Long Good Friday
Notting Hill

Manchester
A Taste of Honey
Friday Night Saturday Morning

Edinburgh
Trainspotting

Any others?
