WOW! What a great movie, can't wait for it to 'come out' on DVD. I was very surprised to see it registered as a 12A film, I thought should have had a PG rating because I was one of only three adults (who looked over 18) in the audience.

For me, this film ticked almost all the boxes. The only down side... The Black Fire Fighter, it would have been nice to see him marry the Post Man and not the screamingly camp brother of Chuck & Larry's Lawyer. What surprised me most, from a casting point of view, wa seeing Richard Chamberlain (and aging closetted actor) playing the Judge at the Court Hearing. It was inspired and I'm glad he agreed to appear in what has become, in America, something of a contraversial film.

First class entertainment, for all the family, and if it makes just one kid realise it's ok to be gay, it was worth all the money to make.

10 out of 10. Your reactions please.

All the UK reviews of this that I have read have suggested that it's toe-curlingly bad!

For instance, this one from the FT...

I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry is a comedy of masquerade that Shakespeare might have written if he were pea-brained and talentless and had been commissioned to script an Adam Sandler movie. Non-gay Sandler and fellow fireman Kevin James get hitched in a civil partnership – for an implausible plot reason – and we are asked to guffaw as the stereotypes of gay behaviour are wheeled into place to shore up their charade. In a scarily awful film the biggest horror comes with the appearance of the name Alexander Payne (of Sideways) among the script credits.

Slight difference of opinion then?!

Most reviews of this film have been negative. This seems mostly due to the large number of sterotypical gay jokes and situations the worst being when someone drops the soap in the shower in the fire station and all the guys are too scared to bend down and pick it up.

I'm not bothering to see such 1980s Adam Sandler crap!
