What do you think of the books selected for the Richard & Judy Book Club - not necessarily the latest ones but any from previous years?

Do you make a point of reading something endorsed by them? And if you have read some what do you think of them?

Personally I thought that The Time Traveller's Wife, My Sister's Keeper and The Interpretation of Murder were all extremely good. On the other hand though I was indifferent about This Book Will Save Your Life and Cloud Atlas left me cold.

Yes, I do give them more consideration than another book, but if I buy one I peel the sticker off so that people won't think i watch R&J...

Have to admit I have a very short attention span and if a book does not interest me in the first chapter i throw it to one side...

I have found most of their books I have read of their choice really good.. suppose I have read about 12 of them now but did find the rightous men really hard going and recently gave up on the memory keepers daughter. Loved "the house at riverton" and am re-reading "the island" now

House at Riverton was fantastic really enjoyed reading that, started on Random Acts of Heroic Love, but have put that down for something else now, just couldn't get into it. I'm not that fussed about it being recommended by R&J, if i like the feel of a book then i'd give it a go regardless.
