Topic started by 1612 Havenhurst Off Mulholland (piddy)
ageing indie chap (45 at the last count!) who loves people, loves life (especially after being at deaths door twice !) and is looking for intelligent conversation, wry and bawdy humour and someone to bounce off mentally within the confines of day to day living...I don't bite so feel free to message me, am never knowingly sarcastic :)

I'm currently talking to an american publisher who may be interested in a couple of things I have been writing but i need to be armed with some ammunition when we start talking...so i wondered if you lovely chaps could help me out by telling me what sorts of things turn you on in gay porn...i don't want the thread to turn into a smut digest but just outlines of scenarios, situations etc... |

Believeable characters and situations. For me, a novel with great sex scenes rather than just an endless series of whoops-there-go-my-trousers situations. I like James Lear's books because there's a narrative thrust to them rather than just the other type of thrust. In terms of the scenes themselves, proper descriptions of how the situation comes about, particularly the early tentative steps, the undressing, the foreplay, rather than just "he ripped my trousers off and thrust deeply into me". |

I agree with David, it must be believable....it must be something that connects to the readers, be it mirrors their personal experiences or something that they can discuss and talk about after reading, not just merely getting sexually stimulated because of the... if I may quote David's "endless series of whoops-there-go-my-trousers scenes" |
