Damian is quickfind:fracture_child and he is a truly talented young writer. I was chatting to him a few months ago about his self-published book "Fallen Weapon".

I would describe the story as being one of futuristic fantasy - Damian may possibly like to expand on that, I don't know. What I do know is that it really is a remarkable piece of work. It isn't the kind of book that I would usually read, but I'm glad I did.

It's available on Amazon, and anyone who enjoys a really gripping story should give this a go - you won't be disappointed. I was telling Damian how much I would love to write a novel, but I think I lack his impressive imagination - he knows just how to keep the reader hooked.

Thanks Damian. :-)

It is an amazing book that manages to draw upon a great many reference points without actually succombing to parody and/or lazy sci-fi terminology.

I don't go in for huge sprawling reviews. It's a good book with engaging characters, a well realised world and a twisty-turny plot. Worth a read, and then a re-read. :)
