I just realised that I turned '21 Again' on Saturday. Wow! It seems the last 21 years have gone by super quickly. I think I am a wiser and more patient man than I was back then... but perhaps I still have a way to go!

It used to be said that one became an adult at 21. So for those like me who have reached this age twice over, I'm wondering: how did you mature further during your second 21 years? What is it that you knew or were capable of at 42 that you didn't or were not capable of at 21?

Answers in 21 words or less. Make that 42.

Only joking, write as much as you want!

Oh only too much, but here I'm only giving the academic side. I learnt to handle text underlay with late-med/renaissance music, educated myself in as much Latin as I need, learnt how to use computers, spreadsheets, etc. I also filled in on the woefully insular education that the British education system gives people. Where do you make a start to do something like this? Try something like parthia.com or what I was reading today...vol 3 of Runciman's "History of the Crusades".

I also learnt how to compose...painfully, and by personally throwing away a lot of my own efforts before anybody else was unfortunate enough to see them.
