Please feel free to ignore this as I really am just venting but any practical advice would be appreciated.

I am the 3rd of 4 children to two, long divorced parents. My 3 sisters seem to be focused on constantly forming alliances within the family by sharing secrets with only a few members. In the past these have been such things as a relatively new pregnancy, guests invited to a wedding, and even money to help pay for things.

I have just had another set of text messages from my eldest sister, who has been told by my youngest sister (who refuses to talk to me for no real reason other than she can't cope) to say that my mum has sold her house - There is a SOLD sign outside - (she can't say for definate as she doesn't talk to my mum either).

So now I am under suspicion of being a collaborator in the sale of my mum's house. The opposing faction (oldest and youngest sister) had no knowledge that she was selling (she never wanted to live there anyway). My middle sister also denies knowledge (but is known to have kept secrets and form her own factions) and my mother hasn't said anything to me.

I hate, having to take sides all the time. nothing is ever gained from being in a faction and no one is really looking for a resolution. No one believes that I would like to be Switzerland in all of this or better still Australia and well out it.

You only get one family - I didn't choose mine - otherwise I would have chosen to be an only child.
