My nan has been in a residential care home for just about a year now, she has alzheimers and went to the home after accidently taking an overdose last year.

She has been going down hill really rapidly, and it turns out she has 3 types of dementia. I've been over to see her today and as horrible as it sounds, its left me wishing she would die. She is now bed bound, covered in bedsores, spent the hour I was there asleep, unable to drink and nothing like my nan, its like she is just some frail old lady who has my nan's name.

The doctor came to see her this morning and is getting someone in a she now cant swallow and the doctor has said she needs a nursing home as opposed to a residential care home.

Seeing her today has left me devestated, even last week she was wandering around, confused but still wandering and causing havoc, but within a week she cant even open her eyes and basically dying in front of us. Ive never been very religious but always had some sort of belief but this has ended all of that now, how can there be any sort of god.

Sorry but need to get some of this off of my chest
