Over the last few years, I've got the following films free in newspapers: The Poseidon Adventure, The Ipcress File, Brief Encounter, High Hopes, La Dolce Vita, Bagdad Cafe, Super Size Me, Up Pompeii, Let Him Have It, East is East, Dune, Cinema Paradiso and Lord of the Flies (they're not all great films, but they were FREE!). In recent months the Guardian has given away Battleship Potemkin and the Independent has given away Viridiana, and tomorrow's Guardian has the proper Japanese version of Godzilla. |
