Last night I dreamt that Gordon Brown was Davros, all the Labour MPs were Daleks, David Cameron was Dr Who and I was his assistant. The Daleks were busy annihilating the Liberal Democrats who played the part of innocent bystanders.

In my dream I had to get to a cave where Davros was based. I found the only way was to hang-glide into the cave to avoid mines and movement detection sensors on the ground. Once there, my mission was to reverse the polarity on a mind control device that Davros was using to make people vote Labour or not resist extermination.

It was a lovely dream, casting Gordon Brown as the arch villain. It made me laugh and left me feeling refreshed. I wonder how good dreams do that.
