Hey! I'm a sarcastic, mischievous, mixed up motormouth with aspirations to be a writer. Self published a novel called 'Fallen Weapon' which is available on Amazon. Working on various short stories at the moment. Like to sketch a bit to get the ideas flowing. Have a fair few tats. Always up for making new friends so talk to me! Don't care if you're not straight acting, I like fey guys!!

Was reading one of the 'About Time' books today. It mentions that Waris Hussein, director of An Unearthly Child was gay. Interestingly, apparently he and Hartnell got on pretty well. Which in some respects is surprising given Billy's reputation as an all round bigot. Maybe he wasn't as prejudiced as has been suggested? |

I don't think William Hartnell was any more bigoted than the majority of fiftysomething men of that era. And for crying out loud, he was an actor. He must have been used to working with poofs. He may not have been keen on their private lives, but I'm sure he was professional enough not to give every homosexual he encountered a torrent of abuse. |
