Writer and computer spod (thankfully doing more of the former after far too long hung up on the latter!). My area of work is the performing arts -- specifically, theatre and television -- and, while I know far too much about the latter, am always looking for people to accompany me to the former! Always interested in meeting new friends, especially those willing to help me celebrate becoming a published author!

[Apologies for the abbreviated headline]

I've been delving into the prototype of our paper's online archive service, which is due to go live in a few weeks.

Naturally, I've been searching for coverage of Doctor Who. Or Dr Who. Or Dr.Who (consistency was not a big thing in the 1960s, it seems...)

Anyway, I found a review of Doctor Who's first ever Christmas special - The Feast of Steven episode of The Dalek Masterplan. It ends with:

"It would have been better with more chases and a few custard pies (just fancy Dr. Who getting a pie!)"

...advice which, I am sure, will be taken on board in time for the 2008 Christmas special...

I'm sure there are certain outers who would consider the whole of The Dalek Masterplan the zenith of what Doctor Who as a series could ever hope to achieve....
