Crossing into established events is strictly forbidden... Except for cheap tricks. Apparently.... 4 parts vampyre, 3 parts Sindar, 1 part Sylvan, 6 parts Time Lord, 2 parts soft toy and 100% daft...

A topic from Film, TV & Radio: Doctor Who and Torchwood

you know how it is as the new Doctor Who series starts to prepare for shooting, various parts of the media and interweb start vibrating with rumours, myths, exaggerations, lies etc...

So me and late of this parish deleted:cwej started to play create a Doctor Who rumour...

[If any of these turn out to be true, we struck lucky by chance! No really!]

*MS will wear only a vegetarian friendly costume

*__ in playing the companion will be the first chinese/disabled/scotish/irish/lesbian/ex Corri 'star'/non-brit to be cast as a companion

*K9 will be back

*Rose will be back for the first 3/6/9 episodes

*the companion will be a time lord

*the companion will be an alien

*the companion will be a human from London

*the scripts will all be much better than anything that went before

*there will be no stand alone episodes in series 5 they will all be multi episode stories

then

K9 will be back (but voiced by Billie Piper) to accompany the vegan Doctor and his alien hologram hermaphrodite companion played by Kelvin Fletcher in a dress, fighting time lords in the first two part story by Pip and Jane Baker

then

"Given the Time Lords come back at the end of the final special, MS's first season is a 13 part remake of Trial of a Timelord, he will only be seen in the studio parts and the three mini stories will be a Paul McGann, Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant set"

and finally, in true tabloid stylee with factual glitches

'David Tennant's final special will end with him realising that his and Christopher Ecclestone (ninth Dr Who) existed only in a pocket universe and he needs the combined help of past companions and enemies to restore order, and the Time Lords, to the Universe. The two part story due to be shown over Christmas and New Year 2009 is scheduled to star Bernard Cribbins, June Whitfield, Liz Sladden, Catherine Tate, Freema Agyman, John Simm, Joanna Lumley and Billie Piper but won't see the return of John Barrowman as Captain Jack allowing Torchwood to carry on in it's on shrinking universe.

On concluding Doctor Who will wake up to find himself younger than ever, played by Matt Smith and on trial for his life before a universal court of the Time Lords in Steven Moffats re-make of 14 part Colin Baker classic Trial of a Time Lord from 1985. Smith will be joined in the dock by [pretty actress name, look we're gay, we couldn't think of one] playing his defence council. For the first two thirds of the series will see Smith only in court room scenes framing new adventures starring Paul McGann, where he created the pocket universe and destroyed the Time Lords, Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant. McGann will be filiming Doctor Who in the UK for the first time (although under a bogus production name) and Eccleston will be filming in Tasmania in a co-production deal with ABC, Tennant has been filming his with the last two specials. The last third will see Smith taking the mantle and fighting for his life. The series will come to a massive conclusion which will see Smith facing an enemy that has been in the background all through the series and him getting a new Tardis from the Time Lords.'

and then deleted:cwej came up with the extra

'all daleks needed for location work are to be CGI to keep their re-appearance secret'

So now creative fanboys and girls of Out, what random rumours can you make up and out-do the Sun with before they put pen to paper?

Celia Imrie will return as the Rani, and regenerate into Rachel Stevens.

The TARDIS will have a holographic programme that will provide witty comebacks and one-liners. Possibly either played by Noel Fielding, Jimmy Carr or Alan Carr.

Kylie will reprise her role as Astrid Peth as a sparkly ghostliy ting that will posess the body of Kylie Minogue, who will appear in tha three story arc set backstage at a Kylie concert. The Slitheen will steal the skins of Westlife to assasinate her in a plot to overthrow the government.
