I have been thinking that some of this years DVDs tie in with Series 3. Example, Martha leaves and will return, Tegan left and returned. We see the Time Lords in Sound of Drums and they feature in Arc. The Master returns and we had new beginnings box set where The Master returned in the 80s...
Or is this just coincidence?

I think the link between Tegan and Martha is tenuous at best (and probably coincidental). However, I'm sure that the decision to issue a set of discs featuring the Master was, at least in part, fuelled by knowledge of what was to come at the end of Series 3 -- wasn't Survival also issued round about the same time?

And if they didn't know when they initially scheduled the releases, the request from the production office to rename the Ainley box set from its original title of "Return of the Master" may have been a giveaway!
